At Club La Costa we do our very best to keep you informed of any changes that may effect your travel.
Important Information for passengers travelling to Spain
Members should be aware of changes in the processes of most of the major flight providers and airlines in the UK for anyone travelling to mainland Spain or the islands.
With immediate effect passengers will be required to provide API (Advanced Passenger Information) at the time of booking a flight, this includes full passport details of each person travelling.
To enable us to process your flight booking quickly and efficiently we ask that you have the relevant information, preferably the individual passports, available at the time of your call.
Flight pricing is a 'live' function and prices can only be confirmed once all the booking information is provided, therefore any delays in completing a booking due to missing data may ultimately lead to higher prices
At this time we should clarify that not all flight providers are requesting this information prior to travel however, we anticipate that it will become an accepted industry practice within a very short space of time. Our aim is to protect our members from any unnecessary delays when making their flight booking and to ensure that you each obtain the most competitively priced and suitable flight for your holiday destination.

Changes to P&O Cruises smoking policy
For all of us at P&O Cruises the safety, comfort and enjoyment of our passengers has always been a prime concern. With this in mind, and as a direct result of the feedback we have received from a great many of our passengers, we have taken the decision to amend our policy with regard to smoking on board Ventura, Oceana and Artemis. The following policy will, therefore, now apply to each of these ships:
Oceana, Ventura and Artemis:
A complete smoking ban will be enforced in all cabins and inside public spaces. Smoking will, however, still be permitted on cabin balconies and on certain areas of the open deck. This new policy will take effect from the following cruise numbers:
Oceana - E825 (4 October 2008)
Ventura - N817 (10 October 2008)
Artemis - P815 (30 October 2008)
Should you have any questions regarding this change to our policy, please contact Complete Cruise Solution on

New entry requirements from August 2008 for visitors to the USA
The US Visa Waiver Programme (VWP) allows most British Citizen passport holders to visit the US for up to 90 days. The types of journeys that are permissible under the VWP include general travel/tourism, certain types of business and when transitting to another country.
The US has announced new measures that require all travellers to provide details online 72 hours prior to travel. Although these will be on a voluntary basis as of August 2008, it is expected they will become compulsory for all travellers from 12 January 2009. For more information, and to apply online please visit the following website at https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov. Electronic travel authorities once obtained will be valid for a period of two years, or the validity of the travellers passport (whichever is shorter). At present, US authorities do not propose to levy a charge for this service, although they have reserved the right to consider doing so in the future.
More details are available on the VWP and other aspects of US immigration at the following websites :

Department of Homeland Security
US Department of State
